Dolls - Many years ago I visited the very nice looking "Craft Centre" in Goes www.ambachtscentrumgoes.nl. As the name suggests, there are people who demonstrate their crafts, but you can also take part yourself! Very soon I saw the beautiful dolls made by Yvonne Flipse, www.yvonneflipse.nl. Of course, i registered for a course! So, after several weeks sculpting, painting and sewing my first doll was 'born' ... The fabric I used were leftovers from my wedding gown made by my mother. I used the same pattern, although smaller, for my doll's dress. What a wonderful lasting memory it has become...

More - I didn't keep it to one doll. Many followed... Unfortunately, I wasn't in possession of a digital camera at the time and I have just a few pictures (kept somewhere in a box!). Inspired by the sea, I made a doll that is still sitting in our living room... and a few small ones that need to be restored... work to do so! We moved one year ago and in our new home I now have a hobby room, and once it's finished I'm sure I'll start making dolls again!
